Seedz Malls Properties Inc. is formerly Chuan-Shang Tea Store, which is located in Taipei and has a long history of close to 70 years. South Garden Hotels and Resorts is the first phase of Seedz Malls’ development in the tourism industry. The second is LYON Grand Ballroom. The third phase developments will also be related to recreational activities.
Architect WANG KE CHENG, who is famous for the deluxe mansions he designed, has joined forces with one of the top 5 influential designers in Asia, CHEN RUI HSIEN. The overall spacious design has also been influenced by Spain’s famous architect, Luis Barragan, who is renowned for his use of brightly colored walls to highlight different layers and dimensions in the architecture. The entrance to South Garden is marked with two such walls standing at 9 meters and 6 meters high. These two walls are painted with a stunningly bright red and purple color to contrast the white of the main building creating a vibrant visual image
The main theme of design is based on a modern Mediterranean style. Designer Chen specializes in spatial construction and strived to build a spacious and comfortable hotel environment. In addition to using Mediterranean elements, he further elevated the ceiling for maximum light penetration, and thus rendered a scenic view. Combined with natural materials such as woods and stones, the architecture fuses different elements together, creating harmony between art and nature.
